A: We prefer that only blankets are brought and used. We can't always wash dog beds due to the size of the bed or the materials. And we would hate to send home a smelly bed.
Q: What should I bring for my pet?
A: We ask that you bring food and any medicine your pet requires for their stay. Do NOT bring anything of sentimental or monetary value. We do not cover damage or loss of items.
We have toys and blankets aplenty. And if our toys or blankets get destroyed we aren't as worried about these items.
We also ask that you don't bring your pet's food dishes. We use stainless steel bowls and your bowls can easily get mixed in with ours. We also offer slow feeders for the pups that feel that need to inhale their meal.
Q: My dog stops eating when their stressed. What will you do?
A: We get it. Stress can change an appetite. We weigh the dogs upon arrival as well as daily to keep track of their weight. If we feel that a dog is in danger of losing weight we will start by adding peanut butter (we NEVER use peanut butter with xylitol) to their food. If that doesn't seem to help we will also use tuna fish. If our methods don't help we will try to contact you to find out a favorite food to help entice them to eat. We have yet to have a dog that won't eat the peanut butter or tuna fish.
